Vette Lab didn’t do this installation originally, but we have been helping the client with his powertrain calibration. It’s an unusual one — there’s a 100mm turbocharger under the hood, and the whole thing is coupled to a Powerglide automatic . Simple, and brutally effective.

We had a 2019 Corvette ZR1 visit Vette Lab back at the end of September, and we were able to get it on our shop dyno to get a baseline reading. The results were…not quite what we expected. The supercharged 6.2-liter V8 is rated at 755 horsepower, and GM engineers confidently claimed 640 at the wheels was what the car should produce. In the end, the car made right around 607 whp.
